About Us
Gardening by Angelina has been beautifying the Ottawa area since 2005. We provide services to residential gardens, so that they can enjoy exciting & lovely spring, flowering summers and calming fall gardens. This is achieved by using sustainable methods of gardening. We advocate and actively participate in many horticultural groups, urban farming, and community gardens.
Our crew is a team a diverse group of hardworking individuals with who live, love, and breath the outdoors. We have seed savers, landscapers, and community liaisons and draw on those individuals skills and knowledge to provide the highest quality services. References and police record checks are available.
Meet our Team
Angelina- Master Gardener
Angelina started as a gardener in the neighborhood in 2001, and then expanded to serving Greater Ottawa Area. Angelina is a member of the Master Gardener of Ottawa Carleton. She is also a member of the Ottawa Horticultural Society, Kanata March Horticultural Society and the Ontario Hosta Society. You will see her around community gardens and teaching workshops in your community. She is an advocate of food security and she is actively mentoring gardeners in local community gardens.

Angelina, born on the farm, studies Bachelor of Science, Horticulture Science, lives and breathes ornamental gardens, and edible gardens. Angelina is the plant whisperer and she always smiles when in the garden, and became known as Angelina, the Smiling Gardener.

Nick
Nick is a Local Gardening Service veteran. Currently studying at Carleton University, Nick is our go to for heavy lifting and hardwork between classes. An early riser, he is usually the first to the site and only leaves once the job is done... Unless he's got a lecture to get to.
Kyle

Farmer Kyle has the best of both worlds. He is an organic farmer and also a landscape construction background. He will help you with your plants, and also install your walking paths in the gardens using flagstones and riverstones.

Wendy
Wendy can be found with a smile on her face, whether she's spending her time in the office taking care of the finances or in the garden beds. Enthusiastic and dependable, she brings sunshine and laughter to each project she works on.

Jenelle
Jenelle is an Ottawa local and Business Marketing graduate of Algonquin College, who's not afraid to get her hands dirty in the field. She manages marketing efforts and our social media platforms but won't be kept from the plants and dirt. A passionate lover of flowers from an early age, she is happy to take on nearly any gardening challenge so long as she's armed with enough SPF.

Karen
Armed with a diverse background and knowledge of holistic medicine, Karen is a guru when it comes to natural remedies. She's transformed her home property into an urban farm and grows organic produce for her family, friends, community groups, and local farmers markets. With a talent for making tonics, ferments, and salves, Karen is a vastly knowledgable resource to have around. Find her in the fields, feeding her chickens, or at a market near you.

Ana
Joining the team this past fall, Ana is a passionate foodie with a green thumb. Always will to lend a hand, our vibrant Ana is happiest on days spend at the farm, cultivating edible plants, fruits, and veggies. As a professionally trained chef, it's not uncommon for her to treat the entire team to some scrumptious eats made from the harvest.

Jay
Jay is a machinist, a seed saver, and community connector. He initiated a project with FAMSAC—a fresh produce community effort in Bells Corner Area—to donate food for the Foodbank. He is your handy guy doing weed removal and small chain saw jobs.

Brittany

Brittany is a nature lover, born to play in the dirt. An avid tree and flower enthusiast, she loves learning about different types of plants and how to work with them. Brittany annihilates weeds and creates interesting focal points to help beautify your garden. She enjoys unique plants and traditional classic combinations.

James
Born and raised on the farm, James has extensive work in orchards, and trades. He is an all around handy man, good guy, and rock climber.

Kieren (my son) may someday follow my footsteps. He is not included in the crew. He brings the cute factor!
